Psoriasis is an alteration of the skin that presents with peeling, redness, itching (rash), inflammation. It is due to a response of the immune system that accelerates the growth of skin cells, causing new cells to move in an accelerated way to the cells of the upper layer (epidermis). It can be due to several infectious agents.
