Generalities:

The infection of this Nematode parasite presents symptoms like diarrhea, muscle and joint pain, digestive tract disorders, among others. Symtoms very similar to Trichinellosis. They can also affect the lymphatic system.

Transmission:

It is transmitted by several species of hematophagous insects (which feed on blood), especially by the Black fly. In America it is more frequent in Southeast Mexico, Colombia and Ecuador.
