Generalities:

It is a virus of the family of Herpes and Cytomegalovirus. Its long incubation period is 30 to 50 days, and there are more than 60 types of strains. Generates a neurotoxin.

Very common symptoms are pharyngitis and tonsillitis . May also cause: dizziness, vertigo, tinnitus, irritability, mental confusion. neurological symptoms, fatigue.
It can cause Hepatitis C. and Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Cause Acute Infectious Mononucleosis with: general malaise, fever, hepatosplenomagalia, lymphadenopathy (nonspecific disorders of the lymph nodes), abdominal discomfort.

It also causes psychological disorders such as: Schizophrenia, Paranoia, Aggression.

Transmission:

It is spread mainly by saliva, in very close contact; hence, it is called the Kiss Disease
